Nahal Keziv Yad LeYad Memorial Entrance Recreation Area

Israeli Military History

This memorial honors 14 Palmach fighters that fell during the “Night of the Bridges” campaign in 1946, to protest the British decision to close Israel to Jewish immigrants most of whom were Holocaust survivors. JNF and the Ministry for Environmental Protection developed a unique recreation area next to the Yad LeYad Memorial near Nahal Keziv. The project includes a picnic area, a path to the memorial, the restoration of an old chain-bucket well and plantings. It is a popular destination for visitors throughout Israel and with the families of the fallen. The project will be one of the gates to the future Nahal Keziv Project Complex.
