Caravan for Democracy on College Campuses Caravan for Democracy (CFD) trains college students to become advocates for Israel by encouraging them to be leaders on their campuses and in their communities. CFD promotes constructive dialogue about Israel and the Middle East by bringing a cross section of Israeli politicians and diplomats, journalists, professors, and advocacy trainers to discuss the challenges Israel faces. CFD brings a variety of speakers from Israel to discuss five core topics and how they pertain to Israel: For more information, call 800-969-5585 ext.247 or email caravan@jnf.org Caravan for Democracy High School Edition Caravan for Democracy High School Edition (CFD HSE), is an Israel advocacy and education program for high school juniors and seniors. Its mission is to engage Jewish teens, provide quality Israel education and advocacy skills, and prepare students’ for their transition from their home communities to their future college campuses. Through CFD HSE, students take part in open dialogue about their connection to Israel, their role as Jewish teens and the challenges they face as Israel advocates. Students learn about Israel through a variety of educational modules which provide them with the needed knowledge, skills, and strategies to advocate for Israel. All programs are taught through interactive and media-rich presentations and by experts in their fields. Module topics include:
The program also brings resources to participating schools: a prominent keynote speaker to talk to students from the heart about the importance of advocating for Israel; a panel of college Israel activists who speak about the challenges they face regarding Israel on campus; and action items which students can apply in their communities and on campus to start acting on behalf of Israel.
