Jewish National Fund

Welcome to My Personal Page

Hi! I am excited to be raising money for and awareness of Jewish National Fund's Project: Baseball!

Baseball is more than just a game. The smack of the bat, the feel of the ball in your glove, the anticipation as a batter enters the box and as the pitcher winds up, the bonds with your teammates ... I love baseball, and I think the kids in Israel should have a chance to play and love it, too! It's fun to play, but baseball also teaches important lessons about sportsmanship, teamwork, perseverance, respect, patience, and commitment.

Israeli interest in baseball is growing every year, but there aren't enough fields or resources to keep up with the demand. Project: Baseball supports the programs that teach baseball and softball to Israeli kids through little leagues, camps, and clinics. They even have a coexistence program. Project: Baseball also supports the building and maintenance of the fields throughout the country.

On Sunday, October 18, 1-4pm, I am holding MICHAEL'S PROJECT: BASEBALL BONANZA! If you are in the Philadelphia area then, I hope you will join me for a fun afternoon. In addition to the skills competitions, there will be t-shirts, prizes, and lunch from Chickie's and Pete's. There will also be a Silent Auction with Hall of Fame tickets to a Phillies 2016 season game, autographed baseballs from MLB players like Matt Cain, Andrew McCutchen, and Jimmy Rollins, and other sports paraphernalia. The entry fee is $18 for ages up to 17 and $36 for everyone else (additional donations are welcomed). Sponsorship options start at $180, and all sponsors will be listed on the t-shirts. If you would like a registration form or more information about the Baseball Bonanza event or sponsorships, send me an email at mcomisky4@comcast.net (please do not use the "join my event" tab to contact me).

General donations and the Baseball Bonanza entry fees and sponsorship payments can be made here by clicking on the red "Donate To Me" tab on the left side of this page under my picture (the money goes to Project: Baseball, not me). If you have a payment for the Baseball Bonanza and would rather pay by check (made payable to JNF-Project:Baseball), you can mail your check to me in advance or bring it to the event on the 18th.

I hope you will support my fundraising efforts. Let's help Project: Baseball give the kids of Israel the opportunity to learn life lessons while playing the greatest game on earth!

Thank you!

Michael
