Jewish National Fund

Welcome to My "Let's Learn About What's Going On" Page!

This winter break, I have an amazing opportunity to volunteer and raise money for Jewish National Fund projects in Israel through their Alternative Break program!

As part of my participation, I have committed to raising at least $950 which will go directly to Blueprint Negev. This organization is responsible for the revitilization of the Negev. Blueprint Negev is a multifaceted, internationally recognized campaign to improve quality of life for all residents of the region and encourage a population shift away from crowded, expensive central Israel. The blueprint includes community development, housing, employment, environmental sustainability, agricultural research and development, water treatment, restoration and catchment, tourism and recreation, education and security.

I am so excited to be travelling to Israel and joining other young adults from across the country for a week of community service. I will be volunteering with Blueprint Negev and their work in Southern Israel. I am VERY ready for desert hair! WOOHOO!!!

Over the past 115 years, JNF has evolved into a global environmental leader by planting more than 250 million trees, building over 240 reservoirs and dams, developing over 250,000 acres of land, creating more than 2,000 parks, providing the infrastructure for over 1,000 communities, and connecting thousands of children and young adults to Israel and their heritage.

And let's be honest, if you read all of this than you probably want to help me and my efforts to impact this beautiful country in an amazing way. Just click the button on the left to make a donation. I greatly appreciate your support of my efforts to give back and serve Israel and its people.

If you have an questions about the program or the organization receiving your donation, Blueprint Negev, please reach out and contact me at Helaina.Zahn@temple.edu.
