Temple Beth Ahm Yisrael Supports Israel

Dear Parents,

Our school is a proud participant in Jewish National Fund’s Adopt-A-Firefighter program to help the first responders in Israel. The fate of Israel's communities and forests rests in the hands of those who serve as Israeli firefighters. These courageous men and women are the first responders to any emergency, be it a terrorist bomb or rocket, car accident, forest fire or hazardous materials incident. Unfortunately, the Israeli firefighters lack basic equipment and supplies, and fire truck fleets are aging and inadequate. As demand and population grow, security concerns have cut national budgets. As a result, many communities, particularly smaller ones close to hostile borders, cannot afford the new equipment they desperately need

Jewish National Fund has taken a major role in supporting the Israeli firefighters, providing protective gear, equipment and fire trucks.

Our school goal is to raise tzedaka to help provide Israeli firefighters with much needed protective gear, equipment and supplies.

• $5,000 provides suits of protective gear for three firefighters, and school receives permanent recognition at American Independence Park in Jerusalem
• $1,800 provides a complete suit of protective gear for one firefighter and school receives a plaque from Jewish National Fund and Friends of Israel Firefighters
 • $500 will help supply firefighters with the equipment they need, and school receives a personal letter of thanks from a firefighter in Israel
• $180 will help supply firefighters with the equipment they need, and school receives a certificate of thanks from Jewish National Fund and Friends of Israel Firefighters

Participation is easy!

  • Help your child sign up by going to and following the prompts below
  • The tzedaka your child brings to school will be put towards this important project.
